What Does an MSL Do?
The expectations from your Manager include areas such as scientific expertise and engagement:
• Maintaining a high level of scientific expertise in disease state management, Company products, pipeline and the competitive landscape
• Contributing to the development and implementation of the therapeutic area Medical Plan
• Acting as an expert/resource for internal and external stakeholders
• Training and mentoring internal stakeholders within your therapeutic area as well as pipeline
• Engaging in peer-to-peer level dialogue with key customers
• Establishing relationships with key customers and other scientific thought leaders and engaging them in ongoing scientific dialogue regarding pipeline products
• Providing internal stakeholders in the cross functional team with information collected in the field
• Identifying pre-clinical, clinical and post-marketing study investigators and reviewing Investigator sponsored studies
• Adherence to internal processes and external regulations including the relevant Code of Conduct and pharmacovigilance activities to meet internal SOP and local regulations
