What Does a Patient Advocacy Associate Do?
The Patient Advocacy Manager is often responsible for a number of different therapy areas within one organization. This is a field facing role that will also support the company’s commitment to building strong relationships with patient and professional advocacy organizations. This person will build upon and strengthen relationships with key advocacy groups and develop partnerships and collaborations supporting the organisations work with the community. Greenwich Biosciences’ work in support of the epilepsy community.
Your manager will expect you to:
- Represent the company at external advocacy group meetings, engaging with patient and caregiver audiences
- Prepare internal reports and presentations as needed to convey information, advocacy issues, and community feedback to further build the company advocacy plan
- Represent the company and act as its liaison with national patient advocacy groups.
- Create and bring forward innovative approaches to partnering with patient advocacy groups in relevant areas
- Support and execute a comprehensive patient advocacy strategy that supports organizational objectives
- Work closely with cross functional team leadership to facilitate the sharing of best practices and access to medicines
- Works directly with cross-functional internal teams to ensure alignment and the incorporation of the patient perspective in multi-departmental working groups
- Ensures that financial support and sponsorships for patient advocacy and engagement activities are in line with industry standards and compliant
- Champions the patient voice and experience with key internal stakeholders
- Stays current of new developments and ideas in the field of advocacy relations and incorporates such developments and ideas into the development and execution of programs
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and requirements
